Discover the alpine pastures! You should plan about 3 ½ hours of walking time to complete the approximately 7-kilometre-long tour that begins and ends at the Hemmersuppenalm. You can take a relaxing break at the Hindenburghütte, Sulznerkaser or the Straubinger Haus. The highlight of the tour is the view from the cross called Schuhmacherkreuz of the town Reit im Winkl and the surrounding mountains. You should wear sturdy footwear and hiking clothes.
You will start the hike on a trail that takes you past the chapel called Anna Kapelle and then head to the Straubinger Haus. After reaching a rock spring, the trail will lead you uphill to the Schuhmacherkreuz (1665 m) where you will have a spectacular view of Reit im Winkl, Lake Chiemsee and the Kaisergebirge mountains. You will then turn west, walking down a trail that leads past pastures on the way to Straubinger Haus. After reaching the house, you will follow the trail that leads back to Hemmersuppenalm.
